In the 2026-27 season, Puerto Rican Cuban American soprano Amanda Batista makes several role and house debuts including Seattle Opera as Catrina in El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego directed by Michaella Calzaretta and conducted by Carolyn Kuan; Nashville Opera as Countess in Le nozze di Figaro led by Dean Williamson with staging by John Hoomes; Kentucky Opera singing Berta in Il barbiere di Siviglia, a role she covered previously at the Metropolitan Opera, directed by Ben Robinson; and will cover the High Priestess in Aida at the Metropolitan Opera with Marco Armiliato on the podium. Additional highlights of the season include soprano soloist in the Verdi Requiem with The Louisville Symphony and a recital debut with Vocal Arts DC as the 2027 Gerald Perman Emerging Artist. The remainder of the 2025-26 includes the lirico-spinto soprano making her role and company debut as Nedda in Pagliacci with Minnesota Opera led by Christopher Franklin as well as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte at the Glimmerglass Festival directed by Eric Einhorn and conducted by Joseph Colaneri.
